The Process
1.Empathize
Understanding the Target Audience
Depression is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think, and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease your ability to function at work and at home.
Target Audience
People who are suffering from depression and are too afraid to ask for help
People who have someone they know that are suffering and want to know how to help
Definition of Depression
Depression (also called major depressive disorder or clinical depression) is a common but serious mood disorder. It causes severe symptoms that affect how you feel, think, and handle daily activities, such as sleeping, eating, or working
Research
Explantion
I thought of this case study as someone who is also suffering from depression, when looking for information about this topic the only thing that was found in search was the mental side of the topic. When trying to find another way of helping myself and my friend who is also suffering it was weird to see that all the information was scattered throughout, the internet. There wasn't a single website where you can just find general l information.
Interview Survey
Here are some survey questions that I wanted to know to help me understand how people help themselves and what they do
User Input
User Input asking people I know what they use or what helps them with their Depression

Asking about flow
What have I learned
This topic was very interesting to read and research but I got a bit lost within all the medical teams and lost a bit of the goal of the reasoning. It was hard because the topic felt very sensitive because the degree can be as light as someone just need to listen to their thought to the severity of where they can be thinking suicidal so it’s hard to say which they are, which is difficult to build just one app for everyone. Because of the range of what needs to be.
4. Wrap Up
Results
It was different to research this topic, because
There is not just one answer but multiple
A very hard topic to talk about with people
When to easy and try to find an answer for everyone
Didn't have a mental professional to talk to about this project
Should have found a company to work with and build off of their platform
