Production Support at PHYX
During my time at PHYX Production, I played a key role in supporting live and recorded productions across multiple formats. I contributed to in-house podcast production, operated cameras for a variety of shows, and ran 3Play for both live broadcasts and recorded content. By working across these roles, I helped maintain smooth production workflows, ensure consistent visual quality, and support real-time decision-making in fast-paced environments. This experience strengthened my ability to adapt quickly, collaborate across teams, and contribute wherever the production needed support most.
Video Editing
I worked on two shows where I was able to grow my skills in Minecraft content production and develop a strong understanding of video editing for company comparison and review content throughout 2024. This work gave me hands-on experience editing videos to clearly present differences between products, structuring narratives for clarity, and aligning content with a company’s goals and target audience.
Since then, the company has chosen to remove or archive a large portion of its older show content. Unfortunately, this means there is limited material available for me to directly showcase from those projects. However, the examples below represent the type of work I was responsible for and the skills I applied consistently throughout the year.
Camera Op(Camera Operator)
I had the opportunity to work as a camera operator on numerous in-house projects, where I gained hands-on experience and learned the nuances of operating cameras both while stationary and on the move. During this time, I developed proficiency in handling a variety of cameras, including the Sony PXW X320 Broadcast Camera, Sony A6500, and Panasonic HC-X2000, enhancing my technical skills and understanding of camera operation in professional production environments.
Operated the NewTek 3Play system
During my time at Phyx Production, I worked on several in-house live broadcasts, helping with both live production and post-show content. One of my main responsibilities was operating the NewTek 3Play system, where I handled instant replays and created highlight clips in real time.
I focused on catching key moments as they happened, tagging clips quickly, and getting them back on air at the right time. This meant working closely with the director and production team and making fast decisions in a high-pressure environment.
